Uganda Missions

  • Approximately 21 million people in Uganda are living without safe drinking water. That’s nearly 50%.
  • 8 million of those people are drinking from sources like streams, ponds, and unprotected hand-dug wells.
  • 13 million people have to walk for 30 minutes or more (1-2 miles) because they don’t have access or due to crowding.
  • Little children walk 1-2 miles to the well. Then carry back a 5-gallon jerry can full of water. This weighs close to 44 pounds.
  • 64 % of the population doesn’t have access to a sanitary toilet.
  • 47% of the population has no handwashing facilities.
  • And another 32% have a handwashing facility but no reliable source of soap and water.

Together we can make a difference.
